Interview
I interviewed for a senior software engineer role and reached the final hiring manager stage. Up to that point, the process seemed reasonably structured and the interview conversations themselves were professional enough.
The main issue was the timing and communication after the final interview. Waiting almost three weeks after the final stage, with no clear outcome, is simply unreasonable for this kind of process. During that time I had to follow up multiple times, and after one of those follow-ups I was told an update was expected later that day. No update ever came.
Eventually, the role disappeared from the company site and LinkedIn while my application still showed as “under review” in Workday, with no formal decision communicated. Delays can happen, and I understand that companies may be comparing candidates or dealing with internal approvals, but the combination of excessive delay, poor communication, and lack of closure made this a very frustrating final-stage candidate experience.
The disappointing part was not even the outcome itself, but how unnecessarily long and opaque the process became after the final interview, especially after a significant time investment from the candidate side.

The final interview mostly consisted of fairly standard behavioral/managerial questions that felt like they were being read from a prepared list rather than a more natural conversation.

The interview consisted of two parts:
1. **Coding Exercise**
* Solved an easy matrix-based LeetCode-style problem.
* Focused on problem-solving, code quality, and communication.
2. **AI-Assisted React Development**
* Implemented a React feature using an AI-assisted coding environment.
* Evaluated on React fundamentals, implementation approach, and effective use of AI tools.
**Outcome**
* The next stage of the process was a System Design interview.
* Unfortunately, I did not advance beyond the technical round.

Overall I really liked the position and the team. Had a feeling that I passed all rounds and everything went well. Unfortunately, they hired someone else.
What I didn’t like was that the whole process took almost 1.5 months. Also recruiters are not very responsive and not organized. Asked for a feedback - nothing.
