Interview
I applied for the job in January 2021 for Lead RPA developer via LinkedIn.Exercise Overview This coding exercise covers a wide range of UiPath specific activities and can be completed in a variety of different ways. However, there are 6 requirements that must be adhered to: 1. The coding MUST utilize the UiPath ReFramework. Any code submissions that do not utilize the ReFramework will automatically be labelled as failed submissions 2. All browser activities MUST use Internet Explorer 3. You MUST create all the files as requested in the exercise 4. You MUST write a short summarized paragraph on how you created the code (PDD and/or SDD formats are encouraged but not required) 5. You MUST create a zip file which contains your completed UiPath code (including all project subdirectories) and the CSV files 6. You MUST name the zip file using the following format: <OrchestratorTenantName.YourFirstName.YourLastName>.zip and send to finance.rpa.dev.interview Go to the list of states within the United State in Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_states_and_territories_of_the_United_States) 2. Extract the table containing the 50 states 3. Create a table called “WikiStateTable” that contains the following column headings and data (the column in red listed below is a “bonus column” meaning it is not required but counts as “extra credit”): a. StateNum - (number assigned to each state – each state should be assigned a number 1 - 50) b. StateCapital – Should contain the Capital of each state c. Abbreviation – Should contain the 2 character abbreviation of each state d. StateName – (This is a Bonus column) – Should contain the full name of the state 4. Select 4 states at random from the WikiStateTable (Each time this automation runs, it should select different states) and create a new table called “ZipCodeTable” that should contain 4 states records with the following columns: a. StateNum – copied from WikiStateTable b. StateCapital – copied from WikiStateTable c. Abbreviation – copied from WikiStateTable d. ZipCodeNum – null value e. ZipCodes – null value Fill in the ZipCodeTable with the number of zip codes in the ZipCodeNum column and the actual zip codes placed in the ZipCodes column (each zip code should be separated by the “|” pipe symbol) for each of the 4 states. 6. For each state in the ZipCodeTable, you will create an equal amount of CSV files and Excel files that match the number in the ZipCodeNum column. Each CSV file and Excel file will be named the same as the ZipCode listed in the ZipCode column and the data within each file will also be the Zip Code number. c. Example – ZipCodeNum is 3 and ZipCodes is 12345|67891|13579 then you will have the following results: i. CSV Files 1. 12345.csv (the file will contain the number 12345) 2. 67891.csv (the file will contain the number 67891) 3. 13579.csv (the file will contain the number 13579) ii. XLSX Files 1. 12345.xlsx (Cell A1 will contain 12345) 2. 67891.xlsx (Cell A1 will contain 67891) 3. 13579.xlsx (Cell A1 will contain 13579) 7. Create a short summarized document of how you created the code (PDD and/or SDD formats are encouraged but not required). Please include a list of the project dependencies used in the automation. 8. Create a zip file that contains the following: a. UiPath code (including all subdirectories of the project) b. All csv files c. All xlsx files d. WikiStateTable exported to WikiStateTable.csv e. ZipCodeTable exported to ZipCodeTable.csv f. Document describing summary of code
