      Pros

-pays well compared to others in the industry -you can work independently as long as you do the job right -not too much of a push for team building/fake friendships, everyone keeps it business

      Cons

-no structure, no set hiring process -no training, learn as you go, nothing is written down for you to learn from you just have to figure it out by asking colleagues -hiring managers operate as they please without any boundaries -same goes for managers in general -candidates/hiring managers/managers/colleagues reach out all hours of the day outside of working hours

      Sales specialist
      Former contractor
      Sydney
      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

      •The people •Developing interpersonal skills •Good discounts

      Cons

•Extremely high expectations for a retail job, requiring immense effort for minimal recognition •Only hire on seasonal basis, makes employees feel like just a number, with many left in uncertainty despite dedication •Employees are made to compete against each other for permanent positions, intensifying stress and feelings of worthlessness •The competitive culture creates tension, gossip, and rifts between coworkers •Management often listens but lacks the power or willingness to make meaningful changes. •The outward image of collaboration and inclusivity is a facade; internally, it’s cutthroat •The hiring process is cyclical—seasonal employees are let go, and new ones are brought in to repeat the same struggle •The experience can leave employees feeling like their hard work amounted to nothing, creating a toxic work environment

      Decent place

      Recommend
      CEO approval
      Business outlook

      Pros

Friendly Staff/ Team Members, one of the better places to work if youre considering retail.

      Cons

Career progression is fairly limited, given the competive nature of interview process and roles available regardless of the store you choose.

      Drama Filled Environment

      Business outlook

      Pros

Benefits are great, lots of mental health resources, dental, eye care, so on and so forth. Job itself is interesting and enjoyable

      Cons

It is hard to enjoy your job when you work with incompetent management, and colleagues that do nothing but contribute to a toxic work environment. Drama is constantly being spread around the store. When employees have concerns they bring forth management does little to nothing about them. There are regular instances of racist and sexist remarks being made, harassment, and there have also been instances of colleagues making homophobic remarks as well. It's extremely sad given the values that Apple claims to uphold. As per my experience, these values are empty promises that sound great, but actions certainly do not match words In addition to this there is no work life balance, and opportunities within the company are few and far between. The internal interview process is incredibly bias, with managers from our own store conducting interviews, and there rarely being a neutral 3rd party. That being said, the opportunities you get will be completely reliant on how particular managers feel about you, and not necessarily dependant on other qualifications. **Note that while I have rated "Compensations and Benefits" as 5 stars, benefits are good, put compensations are poor
