Coldest workplace I've been in

Pros

Pay is good; but don't come here if you have options - it will suck your soul away. Good market to be in.

Cons

Don't expect a culture where management will listen to the people. Highly terrified of a certain competitor, most of the time the focus is more on taking out the competition than actually listening to the customer and building out roadmap. Questionable (legal) decisions made by management that made some of us reps uncomfortable. Quiet layoffs happening all around.

Pros

Top-notch equipment & stipends – High-quality laptops, office setup stipend, and monthly internet/mobile allowance. Cutting-edge technology – Working with state-of-the-art tech that sells itself. Strong brand – Great branding materials, and market presence. Generous salary, benefits & gifts – Perks like good pay, high-quality swag (including pajamas) and strong overall benefits.

Cons

Cultural & communication challenges – Differences between Israeli and U.S. teams create friction. Leadership gaps – Leadership could benefit from training and development to improve decision-making and team alignment. Lack of empowerment – Despite the fast pace, employees are not given the autonomy to make decisions. Misalignment & inefficiency – Poor team coordination leads to confusion, frustration, and unnecessary rework. Marketing overstepping into sales – Marketing makes too many decisions that impact sales strategy, creating misalignment. Layoffs & poor communication – Layoffs happen with little transparency, leading to uncertainty and low morale.

Pros

The R&D team at Wiz is made up of extremely professional and talented engineers. The compensation is highly competitive and well above industry standards. The environment is fast-paced, offering high-impact work, and layoffs are rare, providing a sense of job stability.

Cons

The workload is very demanding, with high expectations and a performance-driven culture that has little tolerance for underperformance. The fast-paced, high-pressure environment can be stressful for those who aren’t used to it.

Pros

For a startup, Wiz operates more than lightening speed - not a boring company at all. Great platform. Cofounders are hardworkers.

Cons

Middle management and upper management are fearful of any employees being a risk or liability. Mistakes are unforgivable and every strike counts against you. The quotas are unbelievable high. You have one quarter to overachieve. Short runway to perform and prove yourself. This is not the place for you if you are looking to grow or find a mentor. You are in a grind from day 1. There is no work life balance. Your manager will call you on your PTO with no regard for your personal time. They want what they want when upper leaders need their reports and commits. Don’t believe that your immediate manager has your back because they don’t. They serve themselves. If you want to be in sales or anywhere in their revenue organization, be ready to be pushed into the deep end without any lifesavers. Confirming that they did quiet layoffs.

Pros

It truly is a great product and there is hope for an IPO. Too bad the equity packages are horrible and the IPO will make you $1 richer. There are some great people that work there, but they are far and few between.

Cons

Joining Wiz will ruin your career. Not only will you wake up every day wondering "will this be the day that I get fired?", but the day that it does happen will likely be right before your equity vests and leave you with a short stint on your resume. There is no loyalty to anyone in this company. They are quick to let go of anyone without any reason or warning, even top performers. There is no transparency. One day they will say "there is room for everyone here" and the next they are doing a quiet layoff. It is beyond toxic. Do not join if you have a choice. The only thing they are concerned about is how much money you are making them.
