Pros

There were talented people in certain departments. Health insurance is decent.

Cons

Everything. Expect zero communication until the very last second on all your projects and expect a layoff every quarter.

Pros

Company car Best paid maintenance job in the area

Cons

Probably the worse company I have ever worked for. With out being to rude the boss of maintenance was probably one of the worse people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Management was also a joke, a lot of dodgy things going on at this branch of the company.

Pros

The people are fantastic and incredibly supportive

Cons

Management sets unrealistic expectations for those in the field doing the actual work. And the compensation for support staff was laughable.

Pros

Freedom to "do your own thing" to a certain extent and set your own schedule sort of. You are alone all day pretty much and that is nice. I liked getting to work so independently

Cons

Toxic Management, Poor work-life balance (always expected to be on call), I recieved little to no training from 1 staff member who was all over the place, management wasnt even on location, and expected me to manage an office that beforehand had been run by 2 people/2 person job all by myself, with crap training and no management or leadership on-site/location or even acessible easily by phone. Usually, if I called with questions, it would go to Voicemail. So toxic, not interested in your success, lies to clients and overpromises to homeowners.

Pros

Only pro was working remote

Cons

I would leave zero stars if I could. I worked in owner support for over 2 years. The company went through constant internal changes and restructuring. I had a total of 4 different managers during my employment one of which was let go during their round of layoffs. The pay is not competitive and below average. I was told when I was hired I would get a pay increase and after I was hired I was told there would be a 2nd increase. The pay increase was around 50 cents and not what I was told or anticipated. This job was always meant to be temporary as the management was incredibly unprofessional and toxic. I didn’t think I would still have this job after 2 years. Towards the end of my time at Vacasa I saw on their job board they were hiring for my position in other states and the pay range was $17-21. Despite my positive performance reviews from management and requesting more than the increase I was given they advised they couldn’t pay more than what I was given. After over 2 years I still wasn’t making $20 an hour. The company is extremely unorganized and has a high turnover of their clients. They over promise and under deliver when they sign up owners and the owners eventually terminate their contract. After the most recent internal restructuring a co-worker applied and was given the team leader role. I was moved to her team and things quickly went downhill. She made it her mission to find fault in everything I did and to find any and every reason to find a way to terminate me because there was nothing she could find in my performance. Absolutely not management material. She would demand things to be done by end of day while not contributing as a leader to the team. There are so many things that transpired with this managers behavior it’s completely unacceptable. She actually did me a favor because quitting and moving on was the best decision. Only take a job at this company if you’re desperate and need an income temporarily or in between jobs. Stay clear of the northern Rockies team they are horrible people and the team leader and regional director shouldn’t be in leadership. There are some good managers and people in the company but this is definitely a dead end job with horrible benefits. The benefits also changed during my employment and were so expensive I had to cancel my medical insurance. The CEO of the company also resigned which should tell you something. All the smart people left this company once they realized how terrible the company is. I would never hire this company to manage one of my biggest assets, my home. I reached out to HR several times to notify them of what I was experiencing with my new management and they didn’t do anything about it and wouldn’t even respond. This company will dispose of you despite your contribution. They also shorted one of my last paychecks. I should have left this company a long time ago and now that I’ve quit I’m so glad I’m moving on. Beware of this before you take a job at this company and have a back up plan. This company is on a downward trajectory and I wouldn’t be surprised if they went bankrupt.
