Very busy, if that’s your thing. No chance to get bored due to lack of work. Convenient location.

Toxic management. They ignore bullying and actively encourage it. Training is poor, very little opportunity to upskill. High staff turnover. Frequently working with new staff with very little training. Understaffed, overworked and underpaid. Overtime is not paid but expected. Company made obscene profits during COVID but gave us the most insulting payrise.

They refuse to be flexible and will roster for a time that doesn't work for you. Paying for parking costs $350/month for anyone on day shift (and you have to fight for the spots against the locals). Crackheads at the local train station and the park. Bullying by upper management and coworkers. No career progression (you get pay capped at 7 years). Training rarely completed and progression forward is based on favouritism. High employee turn over. Punished for your legally paid sick days.

- minimum wage for a job that requires 100% accuracy and can be high stress - no career progression opportunities - no opportunity to increase take home pay through skills loading - not all staff trained in all areas/given the opportunity to be up skilled - staff incredibly undervalued and held to standards others might not be - inconsistent/insufficient training - old, worn equipment even though business is seeing millions in profit each year - staff expected to re-use PPE when aliquoting urine & completing swabs (IE. same face shield, gown and/or mask) - lack of communication/positive engagement - usually only when something is/you’ve done something wrong - staff funded Christmas parties - larger cities offered events and more opportunities with no consideration or development of social clubs/events for regional areas - expectation to work 6 days in a row every second week with inconsistent work locations -
