Pros

Your work is going to create impact in the growth of the startup, and the users of the app. I have been working here for an year now and 80% of the things I did I learned on the job (I am a developer) The hiring process is hard, but is geared towards finding a candidate that fits in perfectly with the team and is capable. Result: I love all my team members and we spend a lot of fun time together. Work is valued and you are given ownership of what you are doing. The startup is profitable for at least the past 3-4 months (as far as I know), so there is a sense of job security, that we are not going to close down because of lack of funds.

Cons

It is not easy to work in a startup that is growing at such fast pace. So all those general cons follow, long working hours, and a lot of workload. But the learning you get out of it is totally worth it.

Pros

An exciting place to learn. The team is generally supportive, and there are strong opportunities to work on real-world problems and high-impact projects. A collaborative culture, good exposure, and fast learning due to the startup environment. The company also has decent career opportunities.

Cons

Like many startups, the workload can be high during peak periods, and work-life balance is not always consistent. Some employees feel that leadership direction and long-term strategy can change frequently, and there can be pressure to meet aggressive targets.

Pros

Ownership, responsibilities, opportunities to grow

Cons

The workload is consistently high, often leaving no room for a work-life balance. Senior management frequently emphasizes exponential growth, but this enthusiasm does not translate into employee appreciation—especially during festivals like Diwali or Holi, where even small gestures or gifts are absent. At the same time, leadership continues to receive such perks. Expectations can be unreasonable at times, with an implicit demand to be available nearly 24/7. Even after late working hours (e.g., leaving at 10 PM), employees may be asked to brainstorm overnight and present solutions the next morning. Basic employee benefits such as occasional goodies, quality snacks/meals, or cab facilities are noticeably lacking. Multiple teams operate with chronic shortages of bandwidth. Managers often overlook the well-being of their team members, resulting in high attrition and significant difficulty in hiring replacements.
