Pros

I met a couple of good people. The experience to travel abroad to work with my team was rewarding.

Cons

Management was terrible and senior management had no clue what was going on beneath them. Terrible review process. Very high turnover of the best employees.

Pros

Not much pros. It’s a job. Sometimes you get someone willing to help you out but if you’re not within the department you’re outta luck.

Cons

Horrible management. A lot need to retire already, They are living in the past. Lots of tasks added to your job without no pay. NOOOO work/life balance

Pros

Good, kind and hardworking people at lower levels and as they're being made redundant and only fat bosses and their yes men are left, in that process no essence is left. Used to be a good learning opportunity for freshers but now with thin margins and strained budgets, there are compromises everywhere. The new office is being built in Newtownabbey, but for who really that's built for? Every Pros with Schrader has eventually turning into Cons with Sensata. Sensata just thinks Auto business as cash cow with no competitive edge left in products and improving the financial sheets for next quarter by removing employees. Not just this year, but from last 4 years I've seen the same and same QoQ. Have you thought why after every Q4 results the share price go up? that's sawtooth pattern all throughout the years. Health and safety is okay but lots of improvements needed. Work life balance is OK.

Cons

Hmm, Where to start? Human Values - HR Virtually absent - Complaints are heard from one ear, out by other; no actions taken. While I haven’t seen it, I’ve heard about instances of non-inclusive treatment toward non-white employees but hey, does that happen in open? There is no connection between employees and upper management or a forum to anonymously raise issues. The next big thing that you read in other comments too, is the secterianism, highly prevalent. Diversity- D&I team is a joke. They have a programme called Appreciating Cultural Exchange which was earlier run well but this year in 2024 the group is just eating budgets in getting freebies for themselves. Bunch of free hoarders and opportunists. They selectively exclude people from events, too. Also, fun part is no Irish-British are involved in the group, whom are you exchanging culture with when they don't even want to know your culture? Technology, Skillset and Colleagues - Managers are made managers because they are yes men, fills the ears of their bosses , keep them impressed and you'll not see a bad day. Skillset at lower levels need a lot of new training. Electrification now is a big thing before it becomes troublesome to hide the burn-rate behind other business units. Strategy- Come every September, the chairs start shaking. Everything is around the Quarterly results for Investors, don't get me wrong, while it's important, it should not be the only thing on one side of weighing scale. They see employees as only numbers to improve the finance sheets for next year and managers happily sacrifice their subordinates to keep their own seats and colleagues suffer and keep over working in stress to keep their jobs. Top management thinks, Three men team down to one, and work still happens? But they don't see how much that one man works his back.

Pros

Colleagues all around the company are wonderful people. Managers actually try to help you in developing your skills and are all around keen to share their experience in the field.

Cons

Global management has the poorest communication and direction. Depending on your position work-life balance could disappear, you're done when the topic is closed, it isn't for everyone.

Pros

Good place to cut your teeth as a new engineer, exposure to many functions and problems to solve.

Cons

The wheels are always falling off the bus and management is consistently unwilling to make a long term investments to keep them on. Very reactive business model means high stress, lack of focus, and turnover.
