Hmm, Where to start?
Human Values - HR Virtually absent - Complaints are heard from one ear, out by other; no actions taken. While I haven’t seen it, I’ve heard about instances of non-inclusive treatment toward non-white employees but hey, does that happen in open? There is no connection between employees and upper management or a forum to anonymously raise issues. The next big thing that you read in other comments too, is the secterianism, highly prevalent.
Diversity- D&I team is a joke. They have a programme called Appreciating Cultural Exchange which was earlier run well but this year in 2024 the group is just eating budgets in getting freebies for themselves. Bunch of free hoarders and opportunists. They selectively exclude people from events, too. Also, fun part is no Irish-British are involved in the group, whom are you exchanging culture with when they don't even want to know your culture?
Technology, Skillset and Colleagues - Managers are made managers because they are yes men, fills the ears of their bosses , keep them impressed and you'll not see a bad day. Skillset at lower levels need a lot of new training. Electrification now is a big thing before it becomes troublesome to hide the burn-rate behind other business units.
Strategy- Come every September, the chairs start shaking. Everything is around the Quarterly results for Investors, don't get me wrong, while it's important, it should not be the only thing on one side of weighing scale. They see employees as only numbers to improve the finance sheets for next year and managers happily sacrifice their subordinates to keep their own seats and colleagues suffer and keep over working in stress to keep their jobs. Top management thinks, Three men team down to one, and work still happens? But they don't see how much that one man works his back.
