Pros

- store associates are non-union, but they get a lot of guaranteed benefits as if they were - guaranteed 40 hours a week schedules, same hours every day, same days off every week - pay increases every year - Disney benefits including an employee admission pass and 20% off Disney merchandise discount - Employee discount on merchandise including high ticket items like surfboards - you get to wear your own clothes within uniform guidelines. You just have to wear the provided t-shirt. But for example, if you want to wear jeans, go ahead, shorts (of appropriate length), go ahead! This store has to follow uniform guidelines from Disney though so some things like ripped jeans are not allowed. - employees get a 1 hour break every day, guaranteed! - overtime is offered when the store is busy, but not required. Work/life balance is very important. - job is very easy, most of the time you are just folding t-shirts - PTO after 90 days, paid college, 401k with matching pay from the company, and health insurance are all offered to the full time employees

Cons

The job can be repetitive. It is a clothing store so the job consists of mainly being a cashier or folding shirts. If you want to be constantly busy, the night shift is busier than the morning shift.

Pros

Easy work load and good managers/employees

Cons

Upper management is awful and work life balance is hard. Very strict with call outs and needing days off. It is Ron jon not the military

Alright enough

Pros

Decent pto A good enough health plan If you have a half brain, you’ll likely get some sort of promotion. You learn cool things in the pro shop section.

Cons

No work/life balance. You must live or die for the store. Especially if salaried. Do not make plans on your days off in the summer. Never have your phone on silent. You must answer when called. No flexibility on schedules. If you can’t schedule something for your set day off, you might as well forget ever going to it. Management can be prickly. If word gets out you’re so much as looking for other employment, expect a touch base. If you can’t plaster a smile on your face in the warehouse, expect a touch base. If you have the nerve to leave the store slightly askew after a $60k day, expect a touch base. Corporate has full control of the camera system and will call to ask why your employees aren’t doing anything in the dead of winter. At some point, you run out of things to size or windex. The customers are abusive. Please expect to be cussed out because there’s no parking within a mile of the store.

Stepping-stone company, not the best place for a long career

Pros

Decent work/life balance, leave at 4pm on Fridays.

Cons

Too many employees and management that have been here too long and parked in place, not a lot of change happening and makes it difficult to move up. Old school procedures and mentality. Pay is really bad and benefits are not great either. The raises they give after annual reviews are a joke.
