Once you reach management level, you are put on salary and you are expected to put in about 50 hours a week and you are on call 24/7-including most holidays. As a manager you also are expected to monitor all emails and respond quickly- this includes nights and weekends. You also are put on an emergency phone rotation where you are expected to handle every after hours emergency for the entire company. There have been times that you will be up till 4 am working and still expected to come in and work a full shift at 8:30 am Senior management is very good at making promises that are either never kept or are extremely delayed. Pay is not in line with industry standards for project managers.

The company treats their employees the same way they do the subcontractors they hire. They try to get as much out of their employees for as little pay as possible. They go after highly qualified candidates promising strong opportunity after a year or more. I was not given any significant compensation increase in 18 months and those that were given promotions/raises were not significant. If you do get promoted expect a 50% increase in workload and responsibility with a 10% increase in compensation. It's a joke. I left for a 20% increase, and have already been offered another 20% increase with another company. Other companies value me at a much higher level and it is a great feeling to be appreciated and compensated fairly. In my opinion this company is a long way from giving anyone outside of the family any real money.
