Great Place to Work

Pros

I’ve been at Pride for almost a year and I can’t say enough good things. The culture is awesome, it is so clear that our CEO cares about us not just as workers but as humans. My coworkers are all wonderful. The pay and benefits are good, and work/life balance is emphasized. The job itself is good, my responsibilities are clear and I’m only doing one role (unlike my old job).

Cons

The only downsides are that I wish we could work remote more often (1 day per week right now) and I wish we had separate sick and vacation days.

Not worth the effort

Pros

Pay is very competitive. The initial offer will sound promising, but none of those are actually what you get when you're already with Pride. The benefits are quite ok- would think there could have been better ones offered for the hours you worked,

Cons

This company has no heart. The management is filled with ego-centric men that care nothing but making the business work. The employees come in last, and with no regard for human safety/health. Management here loves to feed on each other's ego, with little to no care to their resources. Beware, they want robots here-not people.

Pros

Many of the people are lovely to work with. It’s a decent place to gain industry experience if you don’t have a lot. Nice maternity leave.

Cons

The CEO of the overarching company (Pride Global) is unstable and uses intimidation and scare tactics to “motivate” employees. There are also many rumors about potential inappropriate relationships he has with employees. There is clear nepotism and favoritism across the company. Leadership has made it clear that their goal is to move most jobs off-shore in the near future. Sales and recruiting commission structure is nearly impossible for employees to benefit from.

Pros

Can be an okay stepping stone if you're able to find something new. Exposure to large companies, but in a bit of a scammy way. Great trauma bonded friendships.

Cons

Total clown show. Proceed at your own peril. Forget about time off, remote work, decent benefits, or peace of mind if you want to work here. They are doing shady rolling layoffs near constantly. Completely unethical business practices. No one knows how to work, leadership is plain lazy and would rather gaslight and project than do one thing to actually earn some money or bring value. Pyramid scheme. I was worried that even having this place on my resume would ruin my career. They act like they're the varsity jocks with the "success for those who want it" and "winning isn't for everyone" garbage. They are just losers and grifters. When I learned how much a senior leader's salary was I was shocked at the amount. All that abuse to endure and dole out and not even making 6 figures. Very pathetic and upsetting. This place will make your body and mind sick. My family was begging me to quit. The Charleston office is a shack under the overpass that John W & his one brain cell are treating like a frat house, including a female-only staff aged 21-35. Creepy. Not to mention he has absolutely no idea what he's doing in a near dangerous way. Like a huge toddler with power tools.

Pros

Salary is decent but short lived once asked to take a pay cut or you get laid off because you make too much. The people you work with are wonderful but don’t get too close! They lay people off like they change socks.

Cons

Do you like being led by fear? Do you like toxic work environments? Do you like your job being threatened every time you don’t meet unrealistic expectations by leaders who follow a narcissistic CEO blindly without any consideration for the human beings they are destroying that work for them? If the answer is no, then RUN… don’t walk away from this company! You will only be successful if you’re “in bed” with the CEO or one of his family members. You literally have to put everything you believe in, all of your morals, and values in the dumpster if you accept a job here. The CEO will tell the entire company that if you don’t belief in what he believes in, you don’t belong there. They treat everyone like they are replaceable meanwhile wondering why the numbers aren’t improving and people are not motivated to do their jobs? Your salary and promotions WILL be used against you when they decide to pay more people off AGAIN! you will be promoted and on cloud 9, then have a bad month, or quarter, or they will just realize they don’t need you to have that promotion after all and they will let you go without warning. You won’t realize how toxic and how bad this company is for your health until you’re no longer there. Benefits are outrageous. They cannot keep a benefits coordinator on staff to save their life. PTO is a joke!! and micromanaged. Don’t let them suck you in. It’s all smoke and mirrors. You learn quickly what they truly care about. Hint- it’s not you!

Pros

Pride Global does take care of all the billing of the client and provide several benefits that you can purchase.

Cons

Pride Global has many divisions. As a consultant sent out to a client, I find the amount of contact from Pride Global is limited. When you request them to provide assistance between the Client Firm and the Consultant (you) they are not as reactive as one would hope. Benefits provided are all paid by consultant and are expensive. The out of pocket expenses required by the medical insurance company, even for the top tier plan that will cost you around 2.5k per month, seem high.
