It's bad and getting worse

Pros

It's a multicultural organization. There are many smart people around the globe working for the company that is a real pleasure to even talk to.

Cons

Bad management. People who are not good in what they do, became managers. It ended in they don't know how to organize the whole process well. Therefore the people that are competent are leaving the company or sometimes getting fired. That makes the whole work harder and the salary is not as competitive. The main office has no clue about the situation in the regional offices. It is worse there.

Pros

- Great company if you are about to retire. Maximize your 401K and take advantage of your dental and medical. -Very multicultural environment (concerns explained in "cons") - Mismanagement, which make it easy to make money by just surfing the web and pretending you are providing customer support. - Show up at 10 am, get lunch for an hour and leave at 5 pm. Nobody checks!

Cons

- HR = not reliable. - A lot of inexperience supervisors. They may are good technically, but no people's skills. - If you don't speak Portuguese, don't expect to grow in the organization. - There is no real innovation, all software and hardware used is obsolete. - Tucson headquarters doesn't know what is the real situation with the regions.

Pros

-Opportunity for international travel. -Mostly friendly coworkers.

Cons

This company was started by a group of innovative people over 35 years ago who developed a successful product which became the standard in the industry. These people have long been gone and the remaining leadership has slowly been squandering away the advantages the company once thrived on. Product development efforts are usually a big disappointment and often joked about internally. Subsequent attempts to pawn the resulting faulty products off on the customers are borderline unethical. Recent plans to reinvigorate the company through restructuring have mostly resulted in more chaos. The management team has a strong “good old boys” club feel to it and people that shouldn't be there remain due to this. The proof is in the results which is consistently declining market share and demotivated employees. If you just need a paycheck and don't mind dealing with the circus environment, this company might work for you in the short term. Otherwise, it might be a good idea to go somewhere that isn't on the decline.
