Pros

Great stepping stone to knowing what a bad company looks like so that you REALLY appreciate your next job.

Cons

I worked at Medisca for 4 years and to this day I still have PTSD. They run the entire company like it’s a high school. The management walks around like they are better than everyone else. They all have clicks and talk badly about all the employees. I was a devoted worker and had to fight constantly to try and get a raise...it never happened which is my I left and moved on to a MUCH better company. Don’t be fooled by how sweet they are to you during the interview. They are all a bunch of suck ups. In sales all they do is push push and push without really training their employees on how to sell better. There is no personalized training. They treat their employees like they are all children. Once you work there for about 6 months you realize how things run....and HR is not your friend. When I was there they prohibited anyone from having their phones on their desk. Are you kidding me!? They even sent out an email dictating how much time you are allowed in the washroom as if you’d be watched....I am SO HAPPY I no longer work there and will NEVER work there again. All those who do work there now and have been there for years are the ones that like to play the game of suck up to Tony and Maria (the owners). Other companies are not like that. Trust me. Don’t waste your time.

Pros

Freedom and travel. Job is easy.

Cons

Zero support or direction from management from the day you start. East Coast management is very poor and inexperienced compared to West Coast management. Zero company culture. Management often talks negatively about other people in company to new and existing employees. Management is inexperienced at training people and lacks people skills. Hiring process is done over Skype and you never meet your actual manager until you start. Unorganized and ineffective hiring practices.

Pros

some colleagues were nice, that's it.

Cons

- poor management training - no respect from owners and management to employees. - toxic working environment - you are treated as if you are dishonest and taking advantage of the company from day 1, that's their mentality, so they never can keep employees, because they make them feel unappreciated and disrespected.

GCS Summit - Med Gala

Pros

I left Medisca and was welcomed back in 2021 and have had the pleasure of being employed by the company in 4 different roles. Medisca has made it a priority to invest in the skill set and expertise of its employees and that was evident at the GCS in Montreal. They invested in a world-class sales leader, which included an entire day of workshops and role playing which was crucial to our sales force development. They brought in industry experts and practitioners for invaluable training sessions. The week concluded with an awards ceremony for those who not only met the core values of Medisca but exceeded expectations in their respective roles - it was amazing to see. This company is going places fast. If you’re looking to join a machine that has a clear vision - don’t hesitate.

Cons

None to share at this time

Pros

Free parking Weekends off 3 weeks vacation

Cons

Very hard to get to. A lot of clicks and groups. Poor training. Poor management. Tell you your job is one thing during interview only to find out it's totally different once you start. No one says anything when they see things are being done wrong. Everyone has customers on mute and mimicking them while they speak. Expected to know everything with very little training. You start taking calls with no idea how to answer the client because you weren't trained properly. The hours are long giving very little room for home life. You feel stressed all the time because you feel like you have no idea what you are doing. Management doesn't seem to care if you are struggling and will throw you under the bus very quickly. They seem to not care because they are so used to people just coming and going. I saw 3 people leave within my first month and others looking for other employment just to get out. The lunch isn't paid and the 2 fifteen minute breaks are hardly taken because you cant walk away from your desk without being asked to turn on your phone. There are cameras everywhere and very little support. I honestly dont suggest this job to anyone unless you are okay with being at work all day/night long. Or are in desperate need of money.
