Pros

I guess it is a job... I personally enjoyed my job and coworkers, but that has nothing to do with Mori. They won the NASA JSC contract and we were all here for many years before Mori.

Cons

They have the worst benefits I have ever had as a NASA JSC contractor. The most affordable option has a $10,000 deductible with a premium of over $200 a check. Their benefits have gotten worse every year. They have made mistakes on dozens of peoples paychecks many times and have taken months to correct them leaving the employees in a hard spot. The HR department outsources the duties they should be doing to other companies that are just as bad. They switch payroll companies every year which continuously causes problems for many employees. The pay does not make up for the bad benefits. They pay you as low as they can and there is no pay raise structure. When Mori came in and won the JSC contract they cut many people's pay and many people left. They do not care about their employees at all. They dont understand the level of institutional knowledge a lot of the jobs here require and they are doing a horrible job of employee retention and hiring worth-while candidates. There are no bonuses or incentives to work harder than you have to. This company does not care about the employees because they will be gone in a few years when they dont win the contract again.

Pros

Really awesome location to work. Got to work for JPL and be on the campus that made many satellites, and other rovers. Opportunities to work on cool missions and cool projects. Occasionally you get to meet really awesome people who are great to work with. Got to learn about a lot of different things because you are immersed in the workplace. If you open up your mind you can learn a lot. Ability to go to talks on JPL's campus to learn from them and to be inspired. Overall mostly nice people to work with.

Cons

You're a contractor to JPL. You'll always be seen as a secondary and unimportant, and essentially the scapegoat for JPL's problems. Everything is all about the contract and is politicized. Fingerpointing everywhere and no one takes responsibility. HR makes empty promises and makes excuses as to why things cannot be done. Also does not answer questions completely and accurately. Raises/Pay are extremely poor with benefits that aren't great either. Health insurance and retirement are a joke. Mix of old and new technology.

Pros

Nothing, really deserves no stars.

Cons

Bullying, all about the money, leadership doesn't lead and plays the blame game. Salary is low unless your family. Lack of trust from management. No work life balance, negative environment.
