Joined a great team, i've been fully supported at all levels. Flexible working pattern, Hours & Hybrid. Great financial package & benefits. Subsidised canteens. Company actively recruit older qualified personnel, so don't let your age be a barrier for applying for a role.
Cons
Large amount of compliance training to complete in first couple of weeks. Can be frustrating gaining access to areas / applications required for your role, but eventually access will be granted, & training modules are available on various systems. Like most Defence companies, acronyms are used in most meetings, most of us have a spreadsheet on our desk top to translate.

- Heavy use of acronyms are used throughout the company. This takes some time to adopt to.

Pros
Great people and supportive environment - there's always someone who can and will help you out when you're not sure on something. Benefits are pretty solid - I've had at least one pay-rise each year here, as well as the annual bonus. I also had paid overtime before my promotion to an exec level. Investment in facilities and people is continuous - the company really wants it's employees to thrive. As a STEM business the people diversity is limited but it is improving each year and the commitments to inclusion and belonging are very real and visible as an employee.
Cons
It's a rapidly growing company with relatively frequent changes to organisational hierarchies which can get a bit confusing - particularly when starting here. Being a defence company means a lot of red tape and (sometimes overly so) cautious processes. This means some changes can be slow compared to other industries (e.g. onboarding a new tech tool or supplier).

Decent benefits, subsidised restaurants and coffee shops
Cons
Very old way of thinking, no vision for real change. Too many employees have had their whole career at MBDA and block change and innovation. Very male orientated, not any where near the level of female leadership to provide a balance. Not enough investment or appetite to bring in modern tolling for management of workflow. Still very PowerPoint, Excel, Word document heavy. Still using Skype and reluctant to change to MSTeams where meetings can be more collaborative.

MBDA offer a fantastic place to work, they have 5 values of Integrity, Passion, Team Spirit, Innovation and Commitment, and as a company I haven't seen a department that doesn't work by these values. All of the departments are pushing in the same direction, to achieve delivery of our systems to our customers, to protect the Freedom, Sovereignty and Security of the UK and our Allies. Pros: Great Supportive Management Great Team Fair Pay Good Benefits Dynamic Working - great work / life balance Overtime Kept well informed of company messages
Cons
Could do with a bit more parking onsite (there is an overflow, but a bit of a walk) Coffee Shop could open later (especially on a Friday)
