Pros

Good coworkers and front end assistant managers

Cons

Upper management is the worst. Had to file a union dispute for everything.

Pros

Fellow stockers were all very friendly, as well as our two store managers.

Cons

Everything else from the pay to the corporate office purposefully redistricting around our store right before closing it. This meant the next closest store in our district was an hour away, and the company was only required to offer jobs to all employees in the same district.

Pros

Great coworkers/managers, easy job, good benefits and decent starting pay

Cons

High turnover rate, occasional cold communication, poor work/life balance, bad work days and hours, no room for professional growth, outdated technology, no pay increase aside from inflation-countering raises with an endless increase in responsibilities.

Pros

Easy un-trained labor. Pretty much anyone can become a grocery associate. 401K plans, tuition reimbursement, Vacation time.

Cons

Manger’s are hit or miss. Having a nice manager goes a long way but a bad one is a thorn in your side.

Pros

Health insurance is cheap and now that they have a decent network we have actual doctors to pick from versus the zero before. Relatively flexible scheduling as long as you don't request time off the week before or of a holiday. Everything else is a con.

Cons

Abysmal allocation of hours to do the job. Job takes 16 hours you will get 8 because the multibillion dollar corporation cant afford to give you the proper amount of time to do the job. Tasks are added every period and hours allocated to do the tasks are reduced because of "efficiency improvements." Expectations are for everything to be flawless from open to close. You spend half your shift taking pictures of your department and store as proof that workers did something. The hourly pay is absolutely horrendous given the expectations the company has. My hourly pay barely covers expenses to rent a one bedroom apartment. The second you stop moving an alarm goes off and a manager shows up in your department to point out everything wrong and wonders why you aren't moving. Raises are never more than 25¢/hr/year. The company acts like its on the verge of liquidation at all times. Have you done your Fresh Start yet today!
