This is not a Construction Company
Pros
Salary is comparable to competitors, but you won't get a bonus (even if they say you will) so it's probably lower overall.
Cons
Medical benefits are expensive, 401k match is only 2% and the vesting period is four years, minimal vacation time, extreme micromanagement, outdated software, no work life balance, and lots of internal reporting that will waste your entire day. This is an engineering company, every process is over engineered and complicated including things that should be simple like HR, Procurement, Construction, etc. Turnover is getting bad, even 10 year plus employees have had enough, the average worker puts in 45-55 hours a week. Engineers put in 50 - 60+ hours a week regularly and are still behind on work. People with Associate and Sr. Associate titles should be avoided, that status means you don't have to follow the rules that everyone else does. They are a protected class that existed before the company was bought 51% by Alleghany Capital Corporation.
