Management is hindered by the owner Robert James. He has no business expertise except what he has learned on the job and with an engineering background that is very little. Like most owner/presidents he is very emotionally driven and belittles all those around him as he thinks he knows best, even when he does not, as he can never be wrong. Micro management is at the heart of this company and as long as you do what he thinks is best. You will forever be second guessing yourself around him. Get ready to work long overtime hours and weekends with little time off. I would pass this company up as it looks good from afar, but once you get there you will not be so happy.

Starting pay is somewhat low as it relates to roles and responsibilities. Drastic changes in the engineering and documentation process (due to role-out of standard product) have created a bottleneck for new projects but I suspect this will improve over time. Management can be unfair when corrective action is required from an individual or department.
