Pros

Compelled to write a review after reading petty reviews from several mediocre former employees. I no longer work for HB because of recent COVID-19 complications. However, the management team bent over backwards on several occasions to support myself and my family. Mediocre PM’s have cycled through this office because of embellished resumes and lack of technical acumen. If you are intelligent and capable it will be recognized; if you stink it will also be recognized.

Cons

Need to focus on design builds and move away from bid work.

Pros

The Connecticut office I feel is really attempting to reel the branch offices in. They show true concern for the on boarding process which was nonexistent in my experience. I feel they could keep good people on board if they held training in Connecticut. Product line is the best of the best but some lines are being short changed due to lack of product knowledge.

Cons

They are going through a software change with the quoting tool and they still allow employees to use the old one and it all depends on who you talk to as to which one they are using. Shut the old one down and force employees to use the new one. If you ask for a vendors price list you may need to use one from 2015,2016,2017? as a new employee that made no sense. If you come from a very structured sales team where you have weekly pipeline and forecast reviews you will have a hard time working here very little to no accountability for your weeks work and what you did to move stalled opportunities forward or asked to remove them to keep the report clean The sales force doesn't have access to a CRM software applications not even read privileges, I asked if I could get Data.com and expense it, the answer was no? how do you prospect? Very little to no interaction with the engineers working on your configuration I had the impression they were surprised when I came in and asked if they had any questions on my room lay out. The lack of accountability for your work and sales made this a bad fit for me. Pay was good but I needed more. They are a Audio Video company not a UC&C company they need to understand it before they can offer it to the customer.

Pros

Team in the field is very great to work with.

Cons

The good people to work with, those not in the field, have all been let go or left. Those who filled their shoes by default, were and still are, the problem.

Great starter company to jump start your career.

Poor upper management, not minority friendly, and stale culture. The company promotes people out of fear of losing bodies.
