empty promises.....

Pros

Flexible work schedule, family-oriented mindset (holidays, short-notice approved PTO, arrive late/leave early flexibility). Managers are fair because they are in the same boat as their employees with feeling many of the policies should be revamped. Location is convenient to Hartford & New Haven counties.

Cons

Hard to advance, almost impossible if female; lateral moves more likely. All females are treated as entry-level employees, even if they are at a higher level. Pay is horribly off scale to performance for many and there are many empty promises from management to increase pay, offer better benefits, boost moral, etc. Good friends and family to Upper Management make more than those who actually work hard. "Stale" work environment with known indoor mold issues. Overall vibe is negative. Upper Management (C-level) turn their heads to employee complaints and then cannot understand why key employees leave.

It's all smoke and mirrors

Pros

Flexible hours, easy commute, great customers, there are some (few) great people to work with, decent benefits, coffee truck come once a day..

Cons

Terrible with training, almost impossible to change any policy, company uses antiquated technology which is surprising since it's a technology based company and uses processes set in place in the 90's. Management offers you a lot of promises, most of which are empty. They have no problem expecting you to work overtime or off hours at home without any compensation. Getting a raise is unheard of unless you are related to someone in upper management. There are no women in management rolls aside from HR. The building is very old and very gross. They do not clean, vacuum or disinfect anything aside from the outdated bathrooms

Pros

'OK' pay, good benefits, very helpful people (if you know who to ask what)

Cons

Can be 'on an island' very quickly, certain topics during the interview process that made the job seem more appealing have yet to be brought up ever again...

Decent pay to stay afloat. Health/Dental Benefits. Most of my co-workers were very pleasant to be around.

Cons

Training was really awful from what I remember. I was also bullied by at least 3 co-workers. I won't throw down names.
