Just don't work here.

Pros

Alcoholic beverages on Wednesdays to help ease the pain of having to work here.

Cons

The pay is pennies compared to what is expected of you. If you have tenure there, they'll be trying to usher you out the door to bring in new and "cheaper" talent. Be prepared for everyone to have an issue or problem with literally everything and for it to be made into a big deal. If you don't have a family/social life/will to make good money or are immune to all illnesses this is the place for you.

Out to Change the World

Pros

As a mid-career creative, I've been searching more than a decade for the kind of agency where I could thrive and grow long-term. It had to be somewhere that great work was valued as much as great client relationships. Where the responsibility for both of those things was not divided up between account execs and creative-types. Where innovative envelope-pushing was the rule rather than the exception. Where a wide variety of clients in a range of different industries offered the opportunity to do engaging and meaningful work every single day. I was looking for a place full of bright, energetic people out to change the world. I finally found it at Godfrey.

Cons

Godfrey is an agency evolving rapidly to meet the demands of today's businesses. That can be unnerving for some folks. The status quo has always been a more comfortable place to live. While the majority of people at Godfrey are excited by the prospect of continuous change and improvement, there are others who just don't want to dwell in the discomfort and uncertainty that comes with true innovation. Those people tend to hold creative teams back, whether through negativity, resistance or apathy. While there are fewer of these detractors at Godfrey than some of the other places I've worked, their presence is especially disruptive at times.

Pros

There are some coworkers that are supportive and make working there doable.

Cons

I knew many people who would cry on a weekly basis due to the treatment by management. Many, many cliques. Cut-throat environment. If someone can throw you under the bus to cover themselves from looking bad, they will. No room for growth - no career guidance and support. Poor salaries. Pretty sure the high CEO rating is because he is literally NEVER there.
