Pros

There are some really good people at F&G - some of the best co-workers ever. But that's not enough to overcome all the other negatives.

Cons

The entire company changed with the new leadership team and new structure. Everything that made F&G's culture so special has gone away. The "family" everyone likes to talk about is gone. Leadership does not care about people. I've literally heard a leader say "just fire them then" when faced with an employee asking difficult questions.

Lean company equals overworked employees

Pros

Good people to work around, cares about giving back to the community, offers good benefit package for employees.

Cons

Jumps into projects too soon without determining if departments are ready. Expects employees to bend over backwards for less than competitive salary. Does not hire sufficient amounts of people to take on the workload expected. Seems that executive team cares more about claiming something is completed before it really actually is. There is little to no room for advancement or growth internally.

Pros

Great benefits. Great people work there. Great location. Overall it's a fun place to work because of the people that work there. They make the company what it is.

Cons

They don't live up to their own corporate culture. They talk the talk but don't walk the walk. Upper management is all men and women are overlooked. They treat employees fairly but do not get their input on things like moving departments around (we're people, not drones!). Some groups are rather cliquish - especially middle management. And, middle management styles vary by department. Each manager makes their own rules.
