Pros

The team is, with some exceptions , really nice to work with! Good and positive working environment (before half the company got fired), wish I had more time to get to know the team from Porto office because they seemed very cool; Conditions are good, similar to what other companies in the LUX job market offer; Employees are given freedom to express their opinion and manage their work.

Cons

Skeeled is plagued by the absence of good and competent management. Instead of taking advantage of being a smaller organisation, where change can be implemented more easily and every process is yet to be tested and created, skeeled tries to emulate being a corporation. For example, does it make any sense to have a “VP” of XYZ when there is no “President of XZY” ? For skeeled management , it does. Except for the ego boost, it accomplishes nothing, as evidenced by the poor results they have been having for the past year. The lack of career planning, professional development and communication with employees is the norm. A lot of people lost their jobs overnight this year and the situation was managed very poorly by everyone involved.

Pros

Wonderful team. The people are skeeled. You will feel at home immediately and can rely on your team members. Great policies regarding work-life balance. You have a flexible schedule, health insurance, work 4.5 days a week and your managers are really comprehensive regarding personal issues. Great offices with lots of different working areas.

Cons

A company that offers HR services but does not have an HR department. This creates lots of problems and issues with legal paperwork, benefits, contracts and decision-making. Lack of communication and transparency with every topic. Sometimes decisions were communicated from one moment to the other, and you would need to adjust to it without warnings. Lack of vision. The focus of the company is changing constantly, putting the employees in a difficult position regarding work. Everything is urgent, which makes prioritising really difficult.
