Pros
This position was pretty much tossed into my hands by a temp agency and I was basically told not to let this interview go. After 2 in-person interviews, I was hired. The starting pay is great for entry level, ZOLL pays for your life insurance based off of your salary (but you are also able to purchase additional values), they offer tuition reimbursement for schooling, deals and coupons for certain popular attractions in the area, I was personally given a laptop in addition to my desk top for the ability to work from home, worker's break areas are always nice, clean and fully stocked up, there is a gym that I believe is $10/annually and they also offer quarterly aerobics classes such as Yoga and Pilates, they also have a full cafeteria that serves full on breakfast, snacks, daily menu changes with several options, and tons of work outings.
Cons
The building and company itself is SO big (which is understandable considering to be the "Corporate" location but with that being said- there will never be a day that you don't see an employee that you've never seen before, exercise is great for you but it does get frustrating to have a 10 minute walk across the building to get to the cafe on your 30 minute break, the work load for my position was pretty boring and nothing was in place until I became the administrator for 2 new systems that went in place, I ended up training my replacement after setting up both programs new to ZOLL (one for IP invoicing and the other to keep track of any/all patents and/or filings) but obviously without knowing she actually would be replacing me!
