Pros

- Salaries are paid on time - Hybrid work model provides some flexibility - Statutory compliance and basic HR processes are largely adhered to - Work offers visibility and hands-on responsibility rather than purely execution-level roles - The company continues to operate with a strong student-centric mission at the execution level

Cons

- Prolonged leadership instability and unclear strategic direction - Limited transparency around restructuring and workforce decisions - HR has minimal influence on people-impacting decisions - Loss of experienced leaders has weakened organisational continuity - Declining employee confidence and morale

Pros

If you are good at appeasing your boss and at navigating work politics and bureaucracy, this could be the place for you. If you want to do high quality work that furthers your career, then it might not be.

Cons

My experience at Yocket was nothing but shocking with restricted ownership given in projects, unclear objectives, a toxic work culture where people are berated for their performance in company chat groups (in the presence of senior management), a complete lack of structure when it comes to effective management and support to team mates in the organisation, unrealistic expectations and hour-by-hour EOD reports for some team mates. The Company is also de-growing and has had multiple lay offs due to decreasing revenues and increasing costs. The management and culture at the company have gone down the drain since the founding team left, the new management is barely hanging on and everyday is a pressure cooker with no proper guidance or structure on what to do or how to do. Nobody will help you, including your manager or your team mates. Everybody is busy all the time but nobody seems to be moving towards any common goal. The management is completely out of touch from the ground reality of what employees are facing and seem to have no interest in understanding anything. Highly NOT recommended.

Thanks for sharing your perspective. While we understand that not every environment suits every individual, we do want to clarify a few things. Yocket is a high-growth, high-performance company. With that comes fast-moving projects, ambitious goals, and a culture of ownership. It’s not a place for those looking for routine or hand-holding — and we make no apologies for that. We aim to hire people who are excited to build, learn, and solve real problems — not just clock in and out. We’re proud of the culture we've built — one that values feedback, agility, and impact. We also have structure, leadership support, and learning opportunities in place — but it works best for those who take initiative and communicate openly. Yes, we hold high standards. That’s how we’ve become one of India’s leading platforms for study abroad — and how many of our team members have grown rapidly in their careers here. We acknowledge that growth brings its own set of challenges, and we’re constantly evolving based on team feedback. But we’re equally clear about our values — and we’ll continue to stand by them. Wishing you all the best in your next role, Team Yocket
