* Company feels a little directionless / trending water at the moment.
* Being a US company, they dedicate a lot of time and resources to Diversity and Inclusion, possibly to the detriment of using meetings to improve their product.
* Remote employees feel like second class citizens - Don't expect a lot of in person catch ups with your team. Also attending training or conferences virtually is always preferred over attending in person.
* They took over another company called Flywheel and they've spent a lot of time bring all of the features to WP Engine which is great, though they might have saved a lot of time and effort importing the features from WP Engine to Flywheel. It appears that Flywheel had already solved a lot of problems that WP Engine faces.
* Remote workers face barriers in progressing their careers, as there is only a subset of roles available to them to progress to. Also having not a lot of in person catch ups is also a barrier for this.
