Extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience. I was contacted via Venatrix for a pre-discussion call, in which I clearly outlined my experience, skills and salary expectations. I was encouraged heavily to attend their assessment day as I was informed a potential unicorn company would be in attendance looking to recruit new candidates. The assessment day was a shambles from start to end, less than 8 candidates present, the caliber was low, they appeared to be merely making up numbers with some candidates. The promise of a unicorn company making an appearance was false. After a group activity and presentation the candidates were whittled down to 4, of which 3 were obnoxious white men; all diversity was quickly eliminated. Questionable ethics. The one-on-one interview, Elaine was incredibly rude and criticized physical appearance. The entire day was a complete waste of time as the salary expectations I was told on the phone were false. They recruit mainly for salaries starting at £25,000. This should be made apparent earlier.
