Pros
Working with some great people: experienced, knowledgeable, dedicated and willing to help when needed. The ability to work on a diverse range of projects. The chance to gain experience working on some very interesting systems.
Cons
Working with some difficult people: aggressive, hostile and generally unfriendly. Poor work-life balance. Little job security. No excess capacity to innovate and as a consequence most time and effort is spent keeping the lights on. Very risk adverse.
