Tide Response
5yThank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. We wanted to respond to your concerns:
1) Validity of the reviews - Glassdoor has a way of filtering out any reviews it deems to be fake. We firmly believe that the Tide employee reviews are authentic. Furthermore, given our employee survey results, it is clear that the vast majority of Tideans are very happy at Tide, which corresponds with the Glassdoor reviews.
2) Tide’s care for employees - We’re sorry that you feel that Tide does not care about you as an employee. We need to do better and are working on it! We’ve recently introduced a number of initiatives (including the employee surveys, our new performance process and employee trainings) that we hope will improve the employee experience for all of our Tideans.
3) Lack of HR - We have recently dramatically increased the size of the permanent People team in London. Please reach out to them with any inquiries or feedback!
4) Lack of benefits - We have a suite of great benefits on offer: 25 days of holiday, Vitality healthcare, a training and development budget, extended family friendly leave, sabbatical leave, salary sacrifice, paid volunteering days off and others. We’re working on better ways in which we can highlight these benefits to Tideans which we plan on implementing by the end of the year.
5) Management - We are proud of the diversity of experiences that we have on our management team. In order to continue improving, we are hosting a number of manager training sessions in the coming months. We hope that this training will standardise Tideans’ employee experience.
6) Product vision - We agree that we should do better at communicating our product vision and we are actively working on this.
7) Working environment - While we agree that Tide has a fast-paced work environment, we believe that it makes for a great place to learn and be challenged. Tideans get a lot of autonomy to grapple with difficult problems in order to provide an excellent product to our members.
8) Low pay - Our annual benchmarking ensures that Tideans are compensated appropriately for their work. Please reach out to the People team if you believe that you are below benchmark.
9) High turnover - We are taking a look at our attrition numbers and are taking steps in order to improve them. Our most recent employee survey has helped us focus on what matters most to Tideans. #datadriven
10) Covid WFH - Due to our Business Continuity procedures certain members of the senior leadership team were asked to work from home at the very beginning of the pandemic. We closely followed the government guidelines as the news unfolded.
Again, thank you for your thoughts - we hope that you continue to provide your honest feedback to us to that we can improve Tide together!
