Pros
As a young person just starting my career, I thought it was a dream: Remote work, cool coworkers, amazing creative director (when we had one), and an occasional cool client. Unfortunately the list stops there.
Cons
Not sure where to start or stop. In my time at Threshold, more than half of the team I had started with was either fired, quit, or laid off with no reasoning or warning. Compensation was low, to almost disrespectful. Internal communication and account/creative team relationships were a wreck. Even after multiple efforts of bringing together teams and working on changing processes, they were shut down. What a waste of time, which distracted from the actual work that needed to be done (which btw was micromanaged by a manager who had no experience in design or running a creative team whatsoever). Senior leadership was ran like a cult (run when you hear the words "bring your A-game") . And the CEO... I have since worked at other agencies and different teams, and can say I have never been in a more miserable place. I have seen what healthy working environments can look like, and this place was the complete opposite of that. I've also seen firsthand my coworkers and myself go to the darkest places in my professional career, to the point of mental breakdowns.
