Pros

When you first start working here, you’re valued, appreciated, and recognized. I have my colleagues to thank for helping me maintain my sanity. • Awesome colleagues • Cool atmosphere • Collaborative environment • Creative geniuses • Within walking distance to lots of great restaurants, etc. • Owner traveled frequently for business and leisure • Empowered to make decisions*

Cons

Much like the headline reads, I dreaded coming to work most days not knowing what the vibe would be like. Everyone walks around on eggshells, too scared to address the elephant in the room. • *Publicly shamed, humiliated, and destroyed if it was the wrong decision • High-stress environment • Over worked and under valued • Constantly revolving door with high turnover • Lack of training and career growth opportunities • Clear and blatant favoritism • Embarrassing reputation around town • Quarterly profit sharing rarely paid out despite hitting goals

Pros

This is a creative agency, and that comes with all the normal ebbs and flows of the creative world, challenging clients, awesome opportunities, and hard work, but the heart of the company aims to be a step above the rest, shooting to give each employee the opportunity to do their best work here. The company is small so each person has the opportunity to learn a lot and make a difference, even outside of the normal scope of their job- if they want to. The company aims to provide a workflow that fosters creativity and curbs burnout whenever possible, which says a lot since it is widely known the creative industry can churn and burn like no other. The benefits package is robust, exceeds industry standards, and is constantly being improved to stay competitive. I feel like my value at the company is respected as me being a whole person, and the staff and company care about me beyond my employment.

Cons

Having the opportunity to wear many hats can bring a lot of growth opportunities to the right person, but can bring uncertainty and confusion to those who thrive in a world with clean systems and a consistent day to day. One can have the opportunity to spend their morning branding a beverage company, and their afternoon digging through copywrite laws and trademark availability. That type of work can really envigorate some, and others can cause exhaustion, knowing which one you are when you start can help set you up for long term success. Some young employees don't know that much about themselves yet and it can be a challenge when you are first begining.

Pros

Pays 100% of the employees health, dental and vision which I feel is rare with small companies

Cons

Super small agency so upward mobility is hard but management is upfront about it
