Pros

Ontime salary Work life balance No challenging work

Cons

No challenging work at all Only some people get all work and get all credits, some even get credit for someone's work No hybrid model anymore Ruthless HR with no empathy- some might even call and threaten you Random person ask you to take trainings that are mostly useless Don't wait for recognition, you don't get any if there is a group of people who get all projects- your talent is not a problem at all Bus services are always full and you pay to stand and travel No tea or coffee for free- you start early from office so you pay for tea/coffee, tiffin, again tea break, then lunch and eve tea break-awesome revenue model RMG team tries to put you in random projects, beware Allocation is not your problem but when you work for a project with no allocation as the project team is working on that, your performance bonus gets a big hit No reason for performance bonus cut at times.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
