Pros
Great opportunities for advancement within the company. The store leadership is excellent and Target has created a work environment that has an open door policy to enable all team members to express their concerns to management. From what I have seen, the store managers strive to build up their ETL's, preparing them for advancement with Target.
Cons
When you have done an excellent job in your respective department, you are allowed the opportunity to go and interview with business partners, store managers, district manager, and other upper management leaders. While interviewing, you have to pass the interview prep process in order to move on to the actual interview for the pay grade increase. Although you may have great responses to the questions asked in the interview, the difficult part is having just the right personality to pass these interviews. This is the only con that I have found at Target and besides that I absolutely love my job and what I do.
