- ever-increasing workload without wages to compensate - disappointing 'raises' each year that rarely exceeded an extra $1/hr for the best-rated team members; some veteran employees even only received $0.04/hr - performative activism does not extend to team member rights or wages - inconsistent hours (shifting someone from 38+ to less than full time) kicked many employees at our store off of health insurance
