Pros
The people who are not in leadership are kind, determined, hard-working, creative, and committed to the original mission
Cons
The most dysfunctional place I have ever worked at (missed paychecks, multiple rounds of layoffs in two months, lack of transparency in leadership, leaders who are actually trustworthy end up quitting, recent change to only hire contractors to avoid providing benefits). I joined originally because of the mission and I left because it was impossible to actually see this mission come to fruition because of the incompetency of the remaining leadership. Shocker - it's not actually productive to hire a bunch of new contractors and have them overhaul the entire org after you run out of money because they have no context for the history of the business and will duplicate past mistakes.
