Pros

Decent Pay & they also paid for resident insurance license fee.

Cons

Before I applied to work with this company I read the reviews and was really nervous because there were a lot of bad reviews about both their training and work environment. Keeping an open mind I decided to give the company a chance and applied. The recruiter and the on boarding team were extremely professional and courteous! They kept me informed on when my training would start etc. So I begin my journey with TTEC with their remote zoom training and that is when things took a bad turn! The trainer claims she is a master trainer and has been with TTEC off and off for several years. Myself and just a couple of people in the class were BRAND NEW to Medicare and the rest of our class are veteran agents that have worked for TTEC before and were rehired to do their normal seasonal Medicare position. It was around 15 of us and myself and maybe 1 or 2 other people were brand new to TTEC. On our 1st day of training the trainer was very professional and helpful in helping us get into our systems. Also we did some self learning assignments on day 1 and 2 as well. The self learning was a lot of material I would estimate like 2 hours worth of learning and the Veteran agents finished like in 30 minutes and us newbie's was going through the material and reading through it and not just clicking through pages and clicking we acknowledge. So the trainer was wondering how much longer we had and I expressed to her we are going through each page and reading like we are suppose to not just clicking through pages. Clicking and not watching the videos and not reading what is presented to us is not learning! There is about 8-10 systems you have to access so it was a bit of a challenge for us newbie's. Also you cannot sign in more than 5 minutes before your shift and you are expected to sign into at least 6 systems successful ly and be in the Zoom training on-time or else they will say you were late and call you out in class and embarrass you in front of everyone. Their systems move really slow and it is not the employee's fault and out of our hands especially when we are using company supplied equipment! So technically we are not late when we punch in on time and are having issues with your system! Being late is when a person actually clocks in late! This also created a lot of stress for us. Towards the end of the 2nd day of training that is when things took a turn for the worse! I mean it went from 0 to 100 instantly. Us newbie's still were struggling to get into some of the systems and the trainer became very agitated and started belittling us in class and even asked us are we paying attention on a few occasions which was very discerning! Then she began to take the attitude that she did not care if we succeeded in our training and that we were going to slow. She was creating a conflict with us when an actual conflict never existed and took us not being up to speed with veteran agents as if we were not paying attention! On the 3rd day she unleashed on us to the point my other new class mate almost begin crying! It almost felt like she was bullying us in class make us feel that we were not paying attention to her. She was moving the training at alarming fast pace and a few of us had to ask her to slow down on a few occasions and then she would get defensive stating we need to be more self efficient and pay attention better! I was in shock. We are trying to learn and we are paying attention to you, you see us on camera and we are listening and trying to learn the process! This is what training is for is to learn the systems, position and be successful! They also made a big deal about us being viewable on camera during training as we have to sit a certain way and our face had to be position a certain way. The trainer was also big at micromanaging too! The trainer proceeded to call us out in class and belittle us when we were not up to speed with the rest of the veteran agents in the class. Instead training us, she expected us to know the systems and the Medicare terminology like the Veteran agents. She stated she hated to repeat herself and that we should pay more attention and be more self-efficient. Newsflash-some people cannot remember everything you say when you say it only 1 time especially if they are brand new! The trainer was very intimidating and unprofessional. A few of us are considering filing a complaint with upper management. This behavior should not be tolerated! I see why TTEC is constantly hiring because many people will not put up with being bullying and intimidation! So in conclusion I would advise anyone considering to work for TTEC to proceed with extreme caution. The not so good reviews about them online is 100% accurate. So if you can take being micromanaged, talked down to, disrespected, accused of being late on the job when in fact you weren't and are submissive you will do well with the company! I gave them a chance despite the bad reviews and I experience similar thins and more during my journey with them. In my 25 years in working for Call Centers and going through extensive training with other company's this training was the worst I have ever experienced!
