Pros
Good office location, salary is paid on time every month & flexible working hours.
Cons
1. Disastrous IT department
The IT team holds way too much power and is single-handedly choking the entire company. Most of them are long-serving deadwood just waiting to retire. "IT Directors" are lazy, irresponsible, and experts at shifting blame. When you ask for help, you’ll often get passive-aggressive and sarcastic responses.
Even simple beginner-level dashboards are full of errors. Propose any new idea and their instant reply is “impossible.” Their arrogance is nauseating - actual knowledge are completely disproportionate to their salaries. I'm sure they would struggle badly to find another job if they ever got fired.
2. Zero privacy
There is absolutely no privacy in this company. HR casually leaks colleagues’ salary, personal background, and other private information to anyone. Gossip spreads like wildfire among staff. To make things worse, the IT team can access and read your emails and Teams conversations whenever they want and spread it out. Once again, IT is the most toxic and unprofessional department here.
3. Unrealistic workload & dysfunction environment
Taiwan management team has no clue how weak the Hong Kong team’s capabilities are and how terrible the local infrastructure is. They blindly apply their fast-paced, high-precision Taiwan standards here, but the reality is pathetic — outdated hardware, broken website structure, high product costs, and inconsistent quality.
A large number of redundant staff are just struggling every day with no real progress. No matter how strong the management thinks they are, it’s impossible to deliver results in this rotten environment. Fully explains why there are extremely high employee turnover rate.
