Pros

There are plenty of smart and driven people here. My team is full of genuinely nice and helpful people. Working here will build your skills and experience quickly, since the pace moves very fast and work environment is pretty trial-by-fire. The small company environment leaves a lot of room to make impact and learn a lot. Good pay and equity, unlimited PTO . If you have a supportive manager, requesting the time off you need isn’t an issue. Learning stipend is great. Fully remote is a plus.

Cons

Unfortunately there is no human element to working here. We aren’t allowed to have social slack channels for non-work discussion, we have zero social events, and there is no talk of diversity and inclusion, employee experience, etc. The only culture here is leadership pushing toxic “winning” culture. It is purely transactional. I did think the product would be successful but I don’t see this being a successful company if they continue to put zero effort into bettering the culture. After recent layoffs, the ceo was actually quoted as saying that the culture is focused on “performance” versus “some folks who want their personal needs to be served by a for-profit corporation”. Which is a pretty gross statement… but they defend it by saying that it’s “not for everyone”. Leadership didn’t take responsibility for the layoffs, acting as if growing too quickly wasn’t something they had control over. The recent forbes article speaks for itself. Administrative burdens make it difficult to get your day to day work done. Ridiculous over-the-top security will have you spending half your time authenticating, re-authenticating, restarting, resetting passwords an absurd amount. If you aren’t dealing with this then you’re probably spending time to come up with and constantly update your own personal OKRs... On top of this, we are expected to take quizzes at the end of company meetings to prove we were paying attention. We are also required to go through many intensive product trainings and tests that don’t relate to many of our roles. All of this just puts added strain on getting your actual job done.

Pros

One of the highest-performing companies I've ever worked for. There is a strong culture of collaboration, accountability, and winning, with teams genuinely supporting one another to achieve shared goals. The company provides tremendous opportunities for both personal and professional growth, and you're surrounded by talented people who challenge you to continuously improve and succeed.

Cons

The same qualities that make this a great place to work may not be for everyone. Success here requires a high degree of ownership, initiative, and self-motivation. This is not an environment for passive contributors; you are expected to lead, solve problems, drive outcomes, and proactively navigate obstacles. The pace is fast, expectations are high, and there is a constant sense of urgency around execution and winning. While you have the resources and support of a larger organization, you're expected to operate with an entrepreneurial mindset and run your area of responsibility like it's your own business.
