Pros

Free treatments, but that’s all.

Cons

It’s a good starter in aesthetics if you want to understand the basics of dermatology and how lasers and other treatments operate. But as a Registered Nurse in California, I don’t feel well compensated - $28 for a base rate + tips and commission to equate for the $55 an hour “guaranteed rate,” and whatever you don’t make in tips nor commission, apparently the company “chips” in the remainder to ensure you’re getting the $55/HR “guaranteed rate” but it’s so complex to translate when reviewing your paystub. Skin Laundry implementation of the tipping program for nurses because 60% of the clientele don’t tip and honestly, they should just terminate the tipping program and increase the BASE RATE to $65 an hour at best. Aside from that, management has been very questionable - Some, maybe one, displays a highly fraudulent personality to get what they want in the company, exemplifying passive aggressive behavior towards other managers and sometimes.. even the nurses. It’s very unfortunate Skin Laundry keeps people like this in power when they are NOT capable of being a leader nor role model. But hey, if you’re buddies or “tight” with certain people in corporate, it’s smooth sailing. Work-Life Balance - Absolute trash. Skin Laundry is ALWAYS short staffed. Why? The compensation - Let’s be real. Management has to work with limited staffing which impacts the nurses work-life balance by causing us to work every weekend without rotating weekends for some months, on end. Overall, a “good” starter in aesthetics but Skin Laundry needs to get their business in order and adequately pay the nurses. Nurses administer the treatments due to state regulations - Without us, they’re nothing and that’s why nurses are dropping like flies in certain regions because of the compensation, work-life balance, management, and little room for growth. Other than that, Skin Laundry has room for improvement and a good business model to make laser treatments affordable and accessible. But…they’re screwing it up with being cheap and cutting back on certain things. Take this review how you want, but I am not the only one.

Pros

Starts off fun and exciting. Clinic team and field is dedicated and cares about each other and the customers. The growth seems exciting. Pay is ok and benefits are ok not bad but not the best. Good discounts on employee services.

Cons

It’s the higher ups and a few in HQ who are favorites ruining everything. They let go of a bunch of people who helped support us in the field running around with no plan and no support and no real reason. It was confusing to go from having the support to it changing in one day to nothing but being told this is for the best and now we have the right team even though many of us felt the wrong people were let go and the the wrong people were kept because they were well liked. Even field leaders made it seem fine. We were already running low and had zero work life balance and then they got rid of the people who made it better. Think they’re trying to just sell and make the money and there’s just no care for people and what we do in the field. It’s like nothing is ever good enough.
