Pros
Food in the kitchen, flexible working, decent salary , decent product, growth opportunities if you are lucky - they need to replace all the people they fire afterall
Cons
Management plays games, they don't tell you anything and in some cases, they lie. Too much emphasis on revenue, less emphasis on customer care. London team has NO account managers, the only time Sitecore UK will contact their UK customers is when they want to upsell or cross sell another product. Hire and Fire culture means only 3 people in the sales org have been there for more than 3 years. This means the company's history is on its way to being forgotten. Do they have a HR team? There is an office with the words HR emblazoned on it, but I am not sure what they do. I suspect that there is a rush towards some sort of acquisition or IPO, because the way management obsesses over revenue is unhealthy, almost desperate. American C-level execs dictate how the UK should be run.. you can imagine the disaster. Management desires a conflict environment, they are happy to sit back and create a setting that forces teams to compete against each other even when it's unhealthy. Sink or swim approach, the training is appalling. The biggest irony is this - a company that sells software aimed at eradicating silos cannot seem to eradicate its own internal silos. Once upon a time, the company had cultures and values, but there has been so many changes, so many firings that they don't have a sense of value anymore. It has become an amalgamation of Oracle, Adobe and American sales values. They hire new VP's every day, I have lost count on the amount of VPs and Directors recently hired.. I don't understand. I don't think Sitecore UK can go a full quarter without firing someone.
