Pros
Lots of really great people including managers. Good compensation. Flexible work schedule and reasonable expectations (IME).
Cons
C-level has struggled to figure out how to position Shutterstock for future success. Layoffs every 6-9 months. It doesn't feel like a "tech company" any more. We used to have annual all-company hack-a-thons and quarterly tech-only "code rage" events where engineers were encouraged to be creative and think outside the box. With revenue pressures mounting over the past few years, all of that time and focus on innovation has been deprioritized in favor of just trying to figure out any possible fix for our declining e-commerce business.
