Pros

PTO and remote work. Not much else.

Cons

The culture at the company was genuinely good when I began working at the company in 2015. Lower management seemed to care about the employees and people took pride in their jobs. However, once Apollo came in said culture took a long walk on a short pier. Opportunities for upward movement dried up after the acquisition. Pay raises were a joke even when getting promoted. Bonuses were inconsistent at best. Having worked seven years at the company I saw only one bonus the entire time I was there. Executives make poor decisions that result in no punishment for them, but layoffs across the company. Marketing thought Kris Jenner being a spokesman for the brand was a good idea, but a marketing degree isn't required to know that it was not. Dinosaur age tech used for a variety of aspects of the website that never gets updated no matter how many customer complaints were received. On top of that, instead of actually bothering to have one on ones with the most recent round of layoffs, they did it in a group meeting. Laid everyone off unceremoniously. Talented individuals that had been with the company for in some cases a decade mass laid off in favor of contractors and outsourced employees. This company does not care about its employees. Not anymore. Avoid it and look for a company that will treat you with a modicum of respect instead.

Pros

I work with diverse and supportive people. Teams and leaders demonstrate the will to respond to worker needs with kindness and respect. On the operational level, teams are highly flexible and adapt quickly to changes when provided proper support. Work-life balance is high priority for the people I interact with.

Cons

The company has difficulty holding on to talent in tech fields since a good chunk of the focus has to be allocated to art/design and production instead. CEOs come and go every few years, leading to instability. For some teams, the process remains overly complex and inefficient because of misalignments between leadership/engineering and ops team users. No formal humanist policy around AI & robotics yet.
