Pros
As a high schooler who originally planned on pursuing the medical field, I enjoyed this volunteering opportunity and still talk about it years later. While most of your duties as a junior volunteer will be front desk activities, it was still a great experience to interact with patients and their families. My school didn’t require volunteering hours, but I gladly did it anyways.
Cons
A tip for volunteers - be sure to be consistent with hours. They don’t want you to miss any shifts unless you are sick.
