Unfortunately, I'm not sure where to start. I was hired under the pretense that my position would be part-time, and that I would get to choose which events to work, so long as I worked above a certain percentage of events at TD Garden. However, essentially right as I began with them, they completely changed the policy, requiring a time-off request form to be filed if I could not work security for certain events. This completely flipped the terms of my hiring on its head, and was no different than a bait-and-switch. I was fortunate enough to have decent assignments for a while, but was seemingly retaliated against when I had to begin submitting time off forms to fulfill my other obligations. The final straw wafir me was when I was issued a write-up for calling off of an event I had an unavoidable conflict with, and that I had tried to get off through the conventional time-off sheet.
This company tried to squeeze full-time hours out of me when the only reason I took the position in the first place was because of their assurance I would have the flexibility I needed for my other positions. This led to me leaving the company after three months. I haven't looked back.
