Pros
Flexible hours, as many or as few as you want. Easy to get hired as long as you clear background and drug test. At the very least, its a job.
Cons
The superviosor keeps calling me while Im at work, asking me to work at another location, even when i tell him Im not supposed to be on the phone. Doesn't he have my schedule? They play little games with you to prevent you from getting overtime, especially if you work 3rd shift. They said during the interview and training that they have many opportunities to take additional training and move up to higher paying positions, but when I asked them how to enroll in these training, they told me they don't offer them. And they take money out of your check to cover you guard card training. And they make you sign something saying that if you break their equipment they take that out of your check too. They say they have a variety of different posts, but all they really have is retail, the most boring (stay in one spot and watch the door) lowest paying (my college degree, good performance, and willingness to travel won't earn me a raise), and physically demanding (have to stand the entire shift) end of the security spectrum.
