The largest issue I have to say is with management. As other reviews have mentioned, these mid level managers are more often than not people who have been with the company since the beginning and have no idea how to manage, and have no business being a manager. Even with training some people don’t have the personality for management and there are a number of them still at Rokt to this day, regardless of their behavior, they are kept because Rokt can’t afford to lose their knowledge base of the company and product. There is also definitely a game of favorites that is played within upper management. One of the most frustrating things at Rokt was the fact that if the CEO thought a product change was a good idea, we would all have to pivot to the new change whether or not we agreed. The largest issue with this was the fact that it effected the campaigns we were running, and we then had to deal with this fallout with clients. Rokt is a work hard play hard mentality and those who work 8 hour days are looked down on because they aren’t working hard enough. They also pay people the same based on the job title, however, compared to other roles in similar companies the salary is quite low.
