Poor Benefits, Worse Management - Account Manager Relation Insurance Services Employee Review

Pros

Can't think of any, unfortunately

Cons

Benefits are admittedly AWFUL (healthcare is either a high deductible plan or an equally terrible PPO that still requires referrals/ prior-auth- both are self-funded plans), pay is below industry average, they are severely understaffed and cannot retain employees... turnover is high and there is no urgency to fill roles despite employees becoming extremely burnt out. There is no trust between employees and management... or management and Relation Insurance... and little to no productive communication between the parties. There is no holiday 'thank you', gifts or bonuses and no bonuses or incentive plans offered to employees as advertised. The bare minimum is offered as far as paid holidays and it's difficult to take time off due to staffing issues. They are not interested in developing your carrier or education/ CE- you will be responsible for that yourself and will need to schedule any classes/ exams/ CE around their staffing needs.

Pros

Medical and wellness benefits superior to similar organizations.

Cons

Frequently dishonest and/or considerable lack of transparency & communication. Salary less than industry standards, client satisfaction and quality of work often not a priority. Employees are frequently not experienced and do not receive adequate training due to low salaries, hiring in lower salaried states, poor management and inadequate technology and management systems. No bonus structure, no referral incentive, minimal to no annual raises and it was often that Employees were given knock off products, candy, pizza, etc... as "appreciation " gifts.
