Firstly, this isn't just based on personal experiences, nor is it a rant. I'm trying to save some innocent person's future here:
- Leadership is clueless - they change strategies on the go and consequently, lay off people consistently.
- Indian leadership does not know what to do - they hire in desperation, lure you with joining bonuses and trap you with bonds. Do not fall for it.
- Peanuts in terms of appraisal after promising the world.
- Lack of any system in place, no benefits. You'd be required to work as a superstar all the time but you won't be getting anything in return.
- The future is bleak, nobody apart from your team mates will have any clue what you do and how to recognize or represent you or your team.
- Micromanagement in almost every team - so much so that you'd be required to fill in time sheets every day to prove what you've worked on and justify why you took lunch breaks.
- Most importantly, no empathy from the leaders or the HRs, especially in India
If you care about your dignity, self respect and mental well being. DO NOT JOIN!
