Pros

- Good Products - Medium to Big company

Cons

I was part of Kavida which was acquired by QAD. I had a very positive experience while working under different person. The team was collaborative, there was mutual respect, and I genuinely enjoyed my work. Unfortunately, everything changed after the organizational restructuring and the acquisition by QAD. After I was moved to a different team under Devansh, the work environment became one of the most toxic I have experienced in my career. Leadership felt driven by favoritism rather than merit. It often seemed that if you were not part of the manager’s preferred group, your contributions were overlooked regardless of your performance. One of the most concerning aspects of the culture was the glorification of unhealthy work habits. Employees who worked late into the night were frequently praised, creating an unhealthy expectation that long hours were more valuable than delivering quality work efficiently. This encourages burnout rather than sustainable performance. There was also a noticeable lack of fairness in access to information, systems, and opportunities. Some employees had the resources they needed to succeed, while others were expected to deliver results without the same level of support. Combined with poor onboarding and limited product knowledge sharing, this made it unnecessarily difficult for many engineers to be successful. Despite having talented engineers and a technically strong product, the organization suffers from poor leadership, weak planning, and a culture that prioritizes politics over transparency and collaboration. Product direction often lacked clarity, priorities shifted constantly, and there was little accountability from leadership. My experience left me feeling that psychological safety and employee well-being were not priorities. Instead of fostering trust, collaboration, and growth, the environment created stress, uncertainty, and fear. It’s disappointing because the company has the potential to be an excellent place to work, but until leadership becomes more transparent, fair, and people-focused, I would not recommend it to others. I have resigned because of this since it was effecting me and my family.

Pros

Amazing welcoming and supportive culture, very respectful of work-life balance. Great place to learn and grow.

Cons

Very fast paced, you own your performance. Not recommended for someone who wants to "take it easy" or "coast"

Pros

It was a genuinely great company to work for prior to 2025. Excellent experience working here during the transition stage from On-Premise to Cloud under the previous leadership (Anton). The core QAD ERP is a complex, valuable software that was making solid progress toward a SaaS model before the recent shifts.

Cons

Drastic Culture Shift: The workplace became instantly toxic when the new CEO (Sanjay) took over. His first all-hands call explicitly stated the company was doing poorly, setting a deeply demotivating tone. Subsequent calls have been filled with mean-spirited treatment toward employees. Mass Layoffs & Outsourcing: The company let go of highly experienced resources—the backbone of QAD—in the AMER and EMEA regions. They completely outsourced critical Cloud Operations (which maintains the core infrastructure) to a vendor in India that has zero knowledge of QAD. Severe Micromanagement: Because the new outsourced team lacks domain knowledge, there is intense micromanagement, and leaders are now expected to be available 24/7 to compensate. Misguided Strategy: The new leadership immediately scrapped ongoing developments to focus entirely on customer support. There is no job security left in the AMER and EMEA regions. Misleading PR: Don't believe the social media hype or paid articles. The heavily boasted AI integration is actually a tool developed by Redzone, and despite a "great launch" in November 2025, nothing has actually gone live yet.
