Pros
Work from home, some good benefits like maternity leave and room for promotions
Cons
Where do I start? When I was hired I was told that you work until the work is done and then you can leave for the day so you have the ability to leave at 3pm if you want to. What they didn’t say is that they will give an exponential amount of work that will take you all day and night to finish. They expect you to work late and even on weekends. There is zero work life balance. Management makes business decisions without considering the pressure and added work it will add to their employees who are already at their breaking point. When a need for work life balance is brought up to management they laugh and say “that is just how it is” or “underwriting is not a 40 hour a week job”. Their is zero recognition for hard work and a lot of mixed messages. If you’re salary expect to be taken advantage of and work 65 hrs weeks. They do employee surveys every year but no change ever comes from them.
